Tate Mcrae’s Miss Possessive Tour
Breathtaking. Spicy. Unreal. All words that describe the Miss Possessive tour though none of them could ever live up to the real thing. From steamy dance breaks with her incredible team of dancers to raw vocals Tate brings it all. No one is doing it like her.
From making songs at her piano to post on YouTube to selling out 20,000 capacity arenas Tate McRae has seriously made a name for herself. Her latest album So Close To What being her biggest yet, as well as her Miss Possessive tour being a raging success definitely solidifying her status as a main pop girl this year. The Miss Possessive tour seriously brings us everything we could possibly ask for. 80 different countries over 8 months, Tate, her dancers and her team have really put their all and more into this tour.
Taking the stage with confidence to the lead track of the album miss possessive, Tate truly knows how to make an entrance. The crowd, after hours of anticipation, went crazy as Tate strutted out in a dazzling black bodysuit
The incredible storytelling portrayed through the choreography by the incredible Sean b truly transported the entire audience as Tate and her two dancers portrayed the story behind Miss Possessive.
She then seamlessly transitions from miss possessive to a shortened version of no I'm not in love. My eyes were glued to Tate and the four dancers for the entire dance-break.
2 hands begins with a choreography using canes as the dancers appear on a platform and Tate enters from a hidden stage door. perfectly combining her live vocal ability with her dance skills, showcasing that she truly is a born performer.
Next, Guilty Conscience, a song from her sophomore album think later, begins with Tate both singing and dancing,. Arguably this song features one of the best dance breaks bringing energy and wowing the audience.
Tate re-enters the stage wearing blenciaga pants and a lace bra to the track Purple Lace Bra. One of the most meaningful from the album, discussing the oversexualisation of women especially in the music industry. The song delves into how she feels as though she is only taken seriously and listened to when she dresses a certain way. This song has quickly became a fan favourite and this was evident when hearing it live, I had full body chills as the entire audience screamed the chorus along with her.
Like I Do, featured some of her steamiest dance choreography yet, Uh Oh began with a breathtaking pole dance and ended with Tate and the dancers pulling off yet another insane dance number.
At the end of the catwalk the stage fans out again giving fans further back in the pit the opportunity to get a closer view in certain songs including dear god. The stage rises as Tate and the dancers truly give us a show, completing the iconic choreography.
Siren sounds plays next with flashing strobe lighting and insane guitar riffs paired perfectly with raw vocals, truly making the crowd feel every emotion poured into the song.
Tate then takes to the B stage, further back in the arena, to perform slower songs. Beginning with Greenlight referring to the feeling of being stuck at a green light, everyone is telling you it’s ok to go but you just can’t. Transitioning into nostalgia, possibly the saddest from the album Tate showcases her ability to sing gut wrenching songs seamlessly. Between these songs she takes a moment to appreciate her fans expressing her love and admiration for them, truly showing how grateful she is for every single person there and making each individual feel special.
Taking it back to her YouTube days, and showing appreciation for those who’ve stuck by her since then, she brings out a piano truly bringing back the feeling of her old YouTube videos. Performing That way, Chaotic One Day and feel like shit, I could hear fans sobbing as they watched an artist they’ve grown up with achieve her dreams.
Next she plays one of her first big songs, You broke me first, telling the audience to release all of their anger with this one, and they certainly did. I was in disbelief as the entire arena shouted the lyrics with Tate. A truly magical experience. With a fan favourite transition Run For the Hills began playing as Tate walks around the circular b-stage.
As Tate makes her way back to the main stage the dancers are given a moment to shine, each completing a duo performance as a backing track of their voices played using this moment to tell a story. The next song to play being Exes, one of her biggest hits to date. Tate takes the stage in a stunning two piece snake print set. Bloodonmyhands, one of the most fun songs on the setlist plays next where Tate is seen rejecting multiple of the dancers. They then take a fans phone and video part of the song from stage truly showing how. much she try to include her fans.
She’s all I wanna be gets the whole crowd singing alone again as fans scream the chorus truly relating. Bringing back a more recent hit, Revolving Door begins, with the iconic dance choreography using actual door frames, held by the dancers which can be seen revolving around Tate. The dancers are then given another truly deserved moment to shine as each of them complete a solo dance. Each solo being as incredible as the last. Each dancer truly is insanely talented.

Coming up to the final few songs of the night, Tate appears surrounded by flashing lights leading into sports car, showcasing a chair choreography the entire audience was captivated. The final song that she sings, Greedy which could be heard being sung by the whole crowd. Confetti exploded everywhere as Tate and the dancers put on their final dance break of the night. As the song ended you could see how much Tate and her dancers truly admire one another.
I Know Love plays as Tate waves goodbye to everyone and takes a bow with her dancers before exiting the stage. The crowd goes crazy showing how much they’ve enjoyed the show.
This tour has shown how seamlessly Tate can transition her shows from being in small venues to arenas, still managing to be present with her audience every night while performing infant of 20,000 people can be added to Tate’s ever growing list of skills.
This was a truly magical show, transporting the audience to the world of Tate McRae for a few hours while everyone forgot their worries.
